      ( 2:05:00 PM ) Miss Scarlet
If I have a pet peeve I think it is talking when there is no need to. When a person takes 5 minutes to say something about 8 words long. So unnecessary. And talking just to hear your own voice, no thank you. I find this so much in college classrooms, when the professor has this strange need to just talk and talk and talk and give examples for every situation-And this is on the first day! Explaining a syllabus should not require over 30 minutes, not even 15. And the people who ask dumb questions-You're not getting class participation yet! On the same level of annoyingness are the students in classes who act like they're friends with teachers. Now, I've been on a friendly level on a few occasions mostly in high school but for the most part I like to keep professors in a separate section of my mind: The one I don't think about. For example, in my Vertebrate lab my teacher is a funny guy and sure, I'll laugh when he says a joke but there are these 2 people in there who practically give themselves heart attacks laughing so hard. I did my impression for Mandy last nite, it's too funny. But yeah, so annoying. And the adults in class. I think that only Vicki has been a cool adult, otherwise they are too into school and as anyone who knows me, thats so lame;) This one woman in my ornithology class broke out her laptop the first day! Darn clicking...And they always sit up front....and usually only take one or two classes so they have time to rewrite their notes every nite and are always ready to yell out an answer or "bond" with the professor over some life experience the rest of us are too young to have had.
I just got a headache, yuck. I'm going grocery shopping later (hopefully) and I'm so hungry it might be a bad idea...I'm going to buy out the store!
love,
scarlet
