Wednesday, January 15, 2003 ( 11:50:00 AM ) Miss Scarlet Nicknames On The View today they were talking about nicknames so I thought I'd write a lil' post about nicknames I've had, This is also going back to my plan to write more about memories and stuff. So here we go, I don't know how long this will turn out to be. Sunshine- My brother Jesse wanted to name me this when I was born, Wow. Could you imagine if my name was "Sunshine Rose"? It's not that its so bad, it just wouldn't fit me I dont' think. Sissy- I think my mom started calling me this when I was born maybe so it would be easier for my brother to say? I dont know. Or maybe it started when Ali was little and couldnt' talk well yet. Anyway, I hate it and a few years ago I told my mom she better stop calling me that. It would only come out when she was talkingto Jesse or Ali. Scarface- Not really a nickname I've had, but the one everyone tries to give me. Even in 4th grade when my friends asked someone's dad to give us nicknames he gave this to me-I refused. Andrew also always wants to call me this. Skillet- This is the name my friend's dad gave me after I refused Scarface...This nickname actually stuck for the rest of Elementary School, Although some changed over to... Skittles- I didn't mind this one, it was kind of funny. The funniest part is that Tav in high school would STILL call me that. Haha! Scarlotta- I don't remember who made this up, I really like it though. Scarfie- I think Cara made this up, Maybe as a result of our "scarf parties" hmm...Ali called me this a few times Scarls- Coined by Jules, Lots of people call me this now...It's even my email. I like it a lot, my mom thinks its cute. Miss Scarlet- This is what people call me when they're trying to be "original" and make the Gone With The Wind connection, like I've never realized. I like it though actually. Ginny- My middle name is Virginia, and in Kindergarten, when everyone wants the popular name, I tried to change my name to Ginny. I liked the name Jenny but my mom said I had to spell it G-i-n-n-y so it at least had something to do with my real name. Anyway, I went to school and changed my name on every paper I had and even wrote out this thing that said, "My name is Ginny" a bunch of times and showed it to my teacher who said, "That's lovely dear, But your name is Scarlet and Jenny is spelled J-e-n-n-y"...I was so mad, and crushed. But I'm SOOOOOOOOOO glad that plan didn't work bc I like my name a lot now. SVR- My initials...my parents always call me this. It's cool. Mmmhmmm, I'm done. #
